New Mexico Geography
New Mexico is America's 4th largest state and is aptly nicknamed as 'Land of Enchantment'. This state has an area of 121,589 sq miles with just 0.2% water making it a very sunny and lovely place to visit or even live in. New Mexico is surrounded by the states of Texas, Oklahoma and Mexican states of Sonora and Chihuahua thereby giving you an amazing experience of various cultures.
Climate of New Mexico
Most of the climate in New Mexico is arid but you can also find alpine and continental climate in a few regions like forests, mountains etc. Like its scenery you can experience various climates in New Mexico but it is mostly a sunny state with only few rains here and there making it perfect for outdoor activities like trekking etc. June and July are the hottest months in this state whereas the coolest months are December and January.
Culture of New Mexico
New Mexico's culture is mostly influenced by Mexico as the most spoken language after English are is Spanish and Native American, few other languages are Spanish and German. This state's most practiced religion is Christianity therefore you can find beautiful churches here but you also can find other religions like Jewish, Buddhist etc.

New Mexican cuisine is a mouth-watering fusion of various food cultures like Mexican, Pueblo Native American, Cowboy Chuckwagon, Spanish and Mediterranean. Some of the must try dishes are Stuffed sopapilla, Calabacitas (squash), Green chile enchiladas, Green chile stew, Carne adovada, Posole and Sopapilla with honey.
