    History and Geography
    New Jersey is USAs 4th smallest state with the nickname 'The Garden State' due to its production of tomatoes, cranberries etc. New Jersey has a very colourful history and this state has played a crucial role in the Civil war as it was one of the original 13 colonies.
    This states got its name due to the Island of Jersey in the English channels. With a total area of 8,722.58 sq miles out of which 15.7% is water giving this state beauty like no other. It is bordered by New York in the north, Atlantic Ocean in the east and Pennsylvania in the west. Geographically New Jersey is usually divided into South Jersey, North Jersey and Central Jersey.

    New Jersey has a very good economy due to various industries present in it like pharmaceutical, telecommunications, financial industry, food processing, chemical development etc. It also hosts headquarters of several major companies like Paramus making it popular for job finders.

    New Jersey grows many vegetable and fruits like bell pepper, peaches, blueberries etc. locally making any cuisine made with them fresh and tasty. You can find a range of cuisines in this state due to the amazing fusion of many cultures but it is highly recommend you try disco fries, sloppy joe sandwich, beefsteak, rippers and a sweet-savoury candy called Salt water taffy.

    New Jersey mainly has two climatic conditions, the north, northeast and central parts of it are humid subtropical in climate whereas climate in northeast region is more humid continental (cooler). Summers in this state are very hot and humid whereas the early spring and winters brings on quite a few blizzards, tropical storms etc. New Jersey gives you enjoyment of various climates at one place.

    The state of New Jersey has 21 counties that all together have 565 municipalities and these counties divided the states with their own sections of official for each county. Officials like sheriff, clerk and many other elected help run the state smoothly.

    New Jersey has a combination of transportations like road, air, water and rail making a very easily travelable area. If you have your own vehicle then travelling by road is a piece of cake otherwise New Jersey offers you a range of public and private buses as well as trains. This state also has quite a few airports in it like Newark Liberty International Airport, Atlantic City International Airport etc. that are some of the busiest in the country. Other than these modes of transportation you also get to ride ferries from the ports.
