    Geography
    New York is America's 27th largest state with an area of 54,555 square miles out of which 13.5% is water and it is nicknamed 'The Empire State' due to the Empire State Building in Manhattan, New York City. This is a beautiful state that has a number of beautiful islands, rugged Adirondack Mountains and a variety of rivers that flow through the eastern part of the state.
    New York is surrounded by Canada, Vermont, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Rhode Island. In the state of New York you can get the experience of beautiful nature, serene water, state parks and a bright city life without much hassle.

    Climate
    The climate of New York is generally said to be a humid continental climate. Downstate New York (lower Hudson valley, New York City and Long island) experience warm summers and cold as well as damp winters. Whereas Upstate New York experiences mild summers but long and cold winters as this region is near to the Atlantic Ocean. It is highly recommend visiting this state in both these seasons so you get to enjoy them both.

    Culture
    New York is a beautiful fusion of cultures. The most spoken language in this state after English is Spanish and few other languages spoken here are Chinese, Italian, Bengali, Korean, Yiddish, French, Polish and Russian.
