    About Slovakia

    The Slovakia republic is one of the landlocked countries which is situated in central Europe. Only because of the division of Czechoslovakia it was formed on 1st January, 1993. Austria, Czech republic, Hungary, Poland is the neighboring countries of Slovakia. The government system is a parliamentary democracy. Slovakia mainly has a mixed economy system which consists of a variety of private freedom, combined with centralized economic planning and government regulation. Slovakia has been declared as a member of the European Union since 1st May 2004, and from 21st December 2007 it was declared as a member of the Schenger Area and since 1st January 2009 declared as a member of the Euro zone.

    History of Slovakia

    During the BRONZE AGE in Slovakia has three stages of development mainly the cultural, economic and political development stretching from 2000 to 800 BC. IRON AGE basically consist of two periods named as Hallstat period and Roman period. During Hallstat times, many monumental burial mounds were erected in western Slovakia. The burial rite entirely consists of cremation. During the Roman period the military fort had 300 horses and an auxiliary cavalry unit and several forms of rustic type. A Slavic state was also known as the principality of Nitra in 8th century and the ruler Pribina was known as a Christian church.
    The Hungarians annexed the territory of modern Slovakia. Czechoslovakia was formed with numerous Germans and Hungarians who helped to organize Czechoslovak regiments against Austria-Hungry during 1st world war. Southern and Eastern Slovakia were reclaimed by Hungary at the first Vienna award of November 1938. Slovakia seceded from Czechoslovakia in March 1939 and allied itself with Hitler's Coalition. The Communists Party ruled from 1948-1989. In 1969 Czechoslovakia became a federation of the Czech socialist's republic and the Slovak socialist's republic. Slovak Republic established in 1992, and in medical time Master Paul of Levoca was the sculptor. In the 19th century, there were painters of the 19th century, such as Vojtech Angwal. Between 20th and 21st century there was the foundation of the Slovak modern Art. In the 21st century there was the foundation of Notable of Slovak Artists such as Cyril Blazo, Martin Vargic and Viliam Loviska.

    Geography of Slovakia

    Slovakia lies between Latitudes 47 and 57 N and Longitudes 16 and 23 E. Slovakia's has Tatra Mountains, which has 29 peaks which is higher than 2500 meters, which is known to be the highest Mountain range in the Car Pathain Moutains. It is surrounded in an Area of 750 square kilometers of which the greatest part is 600 square kilometers which mainly lies in Slovakia. The longest river in Slovakia is the Vah Clerna Voda which is the shortest river. The biggest volume of discharge in Slovak river is during spring, the only exception is the Danube whose show melts in the Alps. It is also the largest river. There are around 175 tonnes in the high Tatras, which has a depth of 53 meters. The largest Dams on river Vah are Liptovska Mara and Slnowa. Oravaska priehrada which is situated in North, Zemplinsk Sirava and Domasa in the east, Senecke Jazera, Zlate Piesky or Zelena Voda in the west are also the well-known Dams of Slovakia.

    Temperature of Slovakia is extremes in the interval between 41 to 40.3 °C although the temperature below -30 °C is rare. In southern Slovakia the temperature may rise up to 30 °C in summer, during the night the temperature raises to 20 °C. Daily average temperatures in winter are in the range of -5 °C to 10 °C. The night becomes freezy and usually comes below to -10 °C. Bratislava is the warmest region in Slovakia.
    In Northern Slovakia the mild temperature is around 25 °C in summer. In winter, it is colder in the mountains where the snow last until March and April and usually the night temperatures come down to -20 °C and the whole region is complete colder.

Lamb and goat meats are widely popular and are widely eaten. The traditional meals are Bryndzove Halusky. Bryndza is the salty cheese which is made up of sheep's milk, which is categorized under the strong taste and Aroma. These are the menu of every traditional Slovak restaurant which is famous of typical soup known as Saverkravt soup. The blood sousage is popularly known as Jaternica which is made from all parts of butchered pig. It is also a specific Slovak meal. These are predominantly from the southern areas found along the Danube Dam and its tributaries which is too cold. Sweet wines are more popular in recent years and whose taste seem to be always changing.
