History of Saint Kitts and Nevis
This small country was having its discovery by Columbus in 1493 but was for merely captured by European in some beginnings of the 17th century, but the Native Americans were settled some 5000 years before the establishment of colonies. The local Huguenots Kalingo were tried to suppress and later on there was interred-conflict between the Spanish, English and French men and in 1713 the French succeeded and there were two different island country and its continued till 19th century. Till today there is a conflict and strained relations relating to it. It got its independence in 1983. It has now a low GDP and slow growth due to damage to property in 1998 by George, Hurricane which is having its impact till today.
Geography of Saint Kitts and Nevis
The country consists of two islands: Saint Kitts and Nevi which are joined together by "The Narrows" channel of two miles. It has its capital city named Basseterre. It is rich in vegetations especially tropical rain forest and, the island being of volcanic origin and it's having an active volcano in the south east. It is the land of beautiful water and is having numerous rivers and is surrounded by the sea, which is the source of their livelihood. It has its national bird, The Brown Pelican which is a rare spice found here.
Climate of Saint Kitts and Nevis
Temperatures range from 26°c (79°f) to 32°c (89°f) throughout the year. North east trade winds are stable. Rain frequently falls between May and November, averaging 109 cm in a year. High humidity portrays the summer months. Hurricane season runs from late summer to early fall. The country has 19.44 % of arable land. 2.78% of land is used for permanent crops and 77.78% of land is used for others. Hurricanes are the most natural hazards.

It exports machinery, food, electronics, beverages, tobacco and import fuels, manufactures, etc. Its major trading partner's are U.S, Canada, Bangladesh, Italy, Germany etc.
